MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering, physics, and materials science principles to design, analyze, manufacture and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering disciplines.Mechanical engineering requires understanding core areas, including mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity. In addition to these core principles, mechanical engineers use tools such as computer-aided design (CAD) and product life cycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons, and others. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (AUTO)
It is the branch of engineering, incorporating mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety engineering elements as applied to the design, manufacture and operation of motorcycles, automobiles and trucks and their respective engineering subsystems. It also includes the modification of vehicles. The manufacturing domain deals with the creation and assembling of the whole parts of automobiles is also included in it.The automotive engineering field is research-intensive and involves applying mathematical models and formulas directly. HALL OF RESIDENCE/HOSTEL
Hostels equipped with 24-hour electricity and water supplies and inbuilt mess service are available for willing students. Interested students may separately apply for the same.
STUDENT AFFAIRS
All the students are expected to abide by the attendance guidelines of the UBTE. Every student is expected to attend all the lectures, tutorials and lab classes. However, there is a relaxation of 25% on exceptional grounds due to unforeseen incidents.

LANGUAGE LABORATORY
Communication is one of the pillars of engineering education. Keeping in mind this point, the institute is equipped with state-of-the-art language and communication laboratories to enhance students’ communication skills.
DISCIPLINE
Discipline is the backbone of the education system. Therefore, all the students are expected to abide by the rules and standing orders of the institute. Violation of these rules and orders anywhere within the hostel premises shall bring the student under the purview of the institute’s disciplinary committee.
RAGGING
As per the ruling of the Hon’ble Supreme court of India, ragging is strictly prohibited. Therefore, any student indulging in any act of ragging in any form shall be rusticated from the institute with immediate effect.
ANTI-RAGGING NOTIFICATION
Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college premises/campus. However, suppose any student is found indulged in such activity. In that case, stern action will be taken, and the matter shall be dealt with severely. In order to prevent any incident of ragging, several committees have been brought into operation. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Any individual or group indulging in an act or practice of ragging shall even lead to permanent rustication from the institute. Ragging includes individual or collective acts or practices that involve physical assault or threat or use of physical force, which violate any student’s status, dignity, and honour.
Students shall not:
- Violate the status, dignity and honour of students
- Expose students to ridicule and contempt, thereby affecting their self-esteem
- Entail verbal abuse and aggression, indecent gestures and obscene behaviour
- The Anti-ragging committee shall take immediate action on any information of the occurrence of ragging.
Note:
As per the Hon’ble Supreme Court in SLP No. 24295 2006 dated 16-05-2007 and in Civil Appeal number 887 of 2009, dated 08-05-2009, ragging is wholly banned in educational institutions and institutes may take action likecancellation of admission,withholding/withdrawing scholarshipsuspension/expulsion from the hostel and evenrustication from the institution.
